Artists Among Us
Here in Colorado, we are fortunate to have an abundance of people who are passionate
about what they do. It’s been said that she who works with her hands is a laborer; she who works
with her hands and mind is a craftsman; she who works with her hands, mind and heart is an artist.
By that definition, our beautiful state is filled with artists who share their talents with us in all
manner of ways. Our pages celebrate some of those people, ranging from the new associate curator at the
Museum of Contemporary Art to the world-class talent showcased at the recent ICON awards, and from the
physician who restores clear sight to the restaurant owner who seeks justice halfway across the world.
In each case, our community is made better by these artists who walk among us.
